Women in Chemistry Science Week Panel Discussion

Five women at different career stages gave valuable insights into studying and working in the School of Chemistry.

A hallmark of our “Women in Chemistry” events is enthusiastic and thoughtful audience participation and this event was no exception, with some interesting discussion of the experiences of women in a male-dominated discipline. The take-home message to the audience members was that studying chemistry paves the way for a range of career options. Students were encouraged to find the path that is right for them and pursue it, knowing there might be setbacks along the way, but that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
